Scope and Content: Copy of a description of an archaeological object found by Richard Caulfield in 1870, and given to Daniel MacCarthy [the original description can be seen on a note by Richard Caulfield on page 75]. A related note by Daniel MacCarthy cites a description of similar vessels by a Dr Martin which was published in the Journal of the Royal Historical and Archaeological Association of Ireland on page 438 of the Fourth Series, Vol. 3, No. 23 (July 1875).
