Scope and Content: Copy extract of letter dated 9 April 1875: Charles says how gratified he was to see the Athlone Pedigree mentioned in Daniel's book, 'A Historical Pedigree of the Sliochd Feidhlimidh the MacCarthys of Gleanachroim'. He asks if Daniel could send it to him again so he can make a copy; copy extract of letter dated 12 November 1872: Charles says he found "a mass of records relating to the family of MacCarthy" on a recent trip to Dublin. He shares the sources of these records, including the Royal Irish Academy and the "Herald's [Collection]".
