(Glas), 73 Grande Rue, Boulogne sur Mer, France. Level: Item Extent: 2pp Part of: PR70/B Scope and Content:

O'Hanlon writes to thank Daniel for his kind gift of 'The Life and Letter of Florence MacCarthy Reagh', that he has been reading it with great pleasure and he is including his letter to Daniel alongside the letters of Father Matthew. O'Hanlon declares that Daniel's book will be one of the most prized books in his library, that he has previously read Daniel's articles on the same subject in the Kilkenny Archaeological Journal and he firmly believes that Daniel has written his tome with great labour, spirit and research. He wonders if Daniel would ever write a history of the ancient houses and pedigrees of medieval Ireland.
