JJ writes that he has forwarded Daniel's letter of the 25th to the Bishop of Kerry and suggested that a copy of 'The Life and Letters of Florence MacCarthy Reagh' should be given to every priest in the diocese "to prepare them for the understanding of the project of the election of a MacCarthy More" [sic]. He mentions his joy when he heard that the bishop had volunteered to conduct a "proper religious ceremony or consecration".
