Scope and Content: Eugene discusses Danny na-Orsi, a weaver descended from the Duna line and how he is related to Jerry na Duna. Eugene has heard of the Duna MacCarthys but has never seen them. He believes several of them live in the townland of Derragh and that one called Harry talks with Leopold Shuldham. Eugene then relates the history of Denis of Derragh who was allegedly thrown overboard by an English monarch. He calls the Derragh branch of the MacCarthys a disgrace to the name and Ireland.
