Also copy letter from Fitzgerald to Maire McSweeney assuring her he has done all he could. The matter deeply moves him but as he is a member of the Defense Forces he cannot allow his name to be used. 4 items

Notice from Fianna Fail Head Office informing Fitzgerald the Taoiseach, Eamonn De Valera will be attending a public meeting in Cork on October 6th. 1p Extremely long letter to Fitzgerald from Sean O'h-Aitrtheadha (John Hartnett) of Carrigtwohill writing from Cork Prison mulling over his grievances against Fianna Fail and the Republican movement and requesting assistance with employment on his release. 24pp

Copy letter from Fitzgerald to Sean Lemass, complimenting him glowingly on recent speeches and promising Fianna Fail members in Cork will acquit themselves with vigour if there is an election. Proposes the use of gramophone records to record candidates speeches due to paper shortages. Copy reply from Lemass states he has noted and passed on the suggestions. 2pp
