Letter from Ciss O'Connor commenting on his sight of the "world outside" and exhorting him to have hope for the coming year and to enjoy his own company. She got a long letter from May Cronin but was not impressed and is still not on good terms with her. Closes with good wishes. 3pp

163 27 January 1924

Letter from Ciss O'Connor commenting on a book Mind Power and Privileges she is reading which she intends to pass on to him. Teases she told Teresa he was home and married but she wasn't believed and gives news of the return of other internees. She and Paddy feel they will make a huge fortune from the inventions they are discussing. Inquires after other prisoners. 3pp

164 14 April 1924

Letter from Ciss O'Connor in Liverpool apologising for not sending a parcel. She remarks he is still unsentenced so they can be hopeful of release. She met Maire MacSweeney (see above) who looked wonderfully well remarking "It was quite an honour to get the introduction". 3pp

165 25 May 1924

Incomplete letter from Ciss O'Connor to Seamus joking 1 1

he will be left with 10lbs of tea on his hands. She passes his message on to Sir James, who wishes to be remembered to him. The papers are now very hopeful for the release of internees. She got a card from his brother on holiday in Jersey and inquires teasingly was it he who sent the card with "such beautiful sentiment" to Teresa. 2pp

166 23 June 1924

Note from Ciss O'Connor to Seamus explaining she will continue to send parcels until she hears he's in town. she is very vexed with him but nonetheless wishes him a speedy release. Asks to be remembered to some people "and don't think of mentioning me to yourself."
