September 1939 - 1940 Diary kept by Fitzgerald during the early years of the Second World War detailing meetings of bodies such as C.H.C.; F.F. Cumainn the Red Cross Society, Cobh U.D.C. and others. Includes loose material (i) (5) newsclippings referring to C.H.C. activities (ii) Copies of titles from Annie nic Suibhne to the Cork branch of the Irish Red Cross (16) Letter dated 7 October 1939 signed by S.T. Donovan stating Mr. Fitzgerald is suffering from 'Tubes Dorsalis'. He is talkative but not troublesome.
