1947 Mss. statement by Domhnall O'Ciosain detailing his recollections of the founding of the Cobh Volunteers 1913. Describes their early drilling "The onlookers were much more numerous than the volunteers"; the split over John Redmond's Woodenbridge Speech and events leading up to Easter 1916. He was suspended from the Volunteers in March 1916 and so cannot describe the events of Easter week. 7pp
