857 28 February 1947 Letter from [ ] Hallinan, Cork Milling Co. enclosing a telegram from a firm in Gibraltar requesting a quotation for a supply of cement. Hallinan comments "I suppose he thinks I am a cement merchant. Perhaps under the circumstances he might be excused because the flour we are producing at present is not unlike it." 2 items 858 25 June 1948 Copy letter from Fitzgerald to Dr. J. Ryan T.D., Minister for Agriculture inquiring about the development of post war fisheries. Reply states it is too soon to discuss matters in depth. 2 items 23-26 February 1951 Letter from Eamonn O'Neill, James O'Neill & Sons Ltd., Kinsale requesting names of people to contact who could be interested in bringing industry to Kinsale. Copy reply from Fitzgerald is not hopeful "Kinsale is very much out of the way with no rail connection and this is a great disability." 2pp 860 21 April 1952 859 Copy of letter from Fitzgerald to Jack Lynch to Parliamentary Secretary to the Government informing him of the interest of F.E. Cassidy (Irish Industrial Supplies Ltd.) in establishing a small factory to manufacture Tungsten Filament Lamps in a Gaeltacht area. Also Articles of Association of An Foras Tionscol and the Undeveloped Areas Act 1952. 3 items
