8-24 February 1920 Correspondence between Fitzgerald and the Queenstown Young Men's Society (1) he explains that as Chairman of Queenstown Urban Council he cannot attend their meeting (2) R. Cooney of the Society informs him they will not be giving him the stationery contract. 2 items 655 17 April 1920 Copy of letter sent by Fitzgerald while on the run, as Chairman of C.U.D.C., giving instructions to the Town Clerk for Council business in his absence. He is mainly concerned with the increased immigration traffic through Cobh. Also copybook headed "Local Government Studies on Election 1920 to Cobh U.D.C. "it includes some copy correspondence such as a letter, 21 April 1920, to a Miss Murphy at Cumann na mBan urging that organisation "to check in every possible way the terrible emigrant name". He suggests traders boycott emigrants to help steer the tide. pp
