Recounts life of Barrett, born Hollyhill in 1894, who became a teacher with the Rosminian Fathers at Upton, was Brigade Quartermaster for I.R.A. in West Cork, and escaped from internment at Spike Island. Barrett was part of the Four Courts garrison during the Civil War and was arrested and gaoled by the Free State and finally shot together with O’Connor, Mellows and McKelvey as a reprisal for the killing of Sean Hales T.D. by anti-Treaty forces. 3pp
