Ledgers, 1867-2000 (1824-27)

Ledgers, 1867 to 2000 (1824-27). Financial records, somewhat similar to the preceding volumes, recording debit and credit information under a stated account. Typical account headings include Cereal, Oats, Farm, Insurances, Rents, and Sundry. Names of individuals and companies also serve as headings. Format and the accounts documented vary between volumes. The ledgers are listed by type, in chronological order, with some adjustments to place related records in sequence. The earliest item present is a ledger of McCall & Co, 1824-27. Later ledgers are in computer printout format (B609/3/C/30-72). These include sales and purchase ledgers, which relate closely to B609/2/I-J above. They are placed here with other computer printout ledgers as all such ledgers appear to have been created and maintained as a set. Trial balance ledgers and three files containing sheets of ledger-type trial balance information are placed at the end of this sub-section.
