B609/2/B/26 File of copies of correspondence between JHB Ltd and the meteorological services in London and Dublin, regarding weather reports from Ballinacurra, 1930-39. Also present are copies of inspectors’ reports and other forms of report carried out by the Meteorological Office, Air Ministry, London, 1924-26. A few other letters, 1953-55, and one from 1966, are also present. The copies were acquired by Trevor West, son of Dorothy West, and there is present a letter to him forwarding copies of correspondence regarding meteorological instruments at Ballinacurra.

Barley Returns, 1907-39

Barley Reports/Returns, 1907-39. Weekly returns made during harvest time. The returns note barrels purchased during week, price paid, previously advised quantity and price, total local purchases to date,

receipts to date (Local and Other Districts), total barley offered this week, barley for which farmers rejected the price, and barley purchased for seed. Remarks and Estimation of Yield headings occur at the foot of the page. In general a standard form is used, headed as being from Charleston Maltings, and sent to the Malt Department, AGS. The forms present are JHB copies. The period covered is generally September to December. [See also B609/2/J/8-10 below]
