B609/1/E/8 ‘1966 Correspondence’. Similar to the preceding files, with letters

received from goods and service providers and other stakeholders grouped in A-Z order. Correspondents include Ards Malting Co; Cork Harbour

Commissioners; DF Doyle & Co, General Stevedores, Lapp’s Quay, Cork; IME. Shipping and related requirements (charter parties, agents and handlers) a frequent subject.

B609/1/E/9 ‘1967 Correspondence’. Contains many letters from Coyle & Co, insurers. Also present is a Cork Steam Packet Company estimate dated 5 January 1967.

B609/1/E/10 ‘Correspondence 1968-70’. Present is a letter from Chillingworth & Levie, architects, Cork, regarding work at Rosehill, Ballinacurra. Dated 31 March 1969 is a form of licence under the Poisons and Pharmacy Act 1908. from Cork County Council. Also present is a letter from the FCA, Midleton, regarding use of JHB sandpits for firing practice. B609/1/E/11 ‘1971 Correspondence’. A letter of 1 July 1971 from Daniel R Casey, plumber, Midleton, quotes for installation of a fire valve. A letter of 10 February from Dublin Chamber of Commerce to Miss Rita Paul, JHB, acknowledges hers of 4 February informing them of Dorothy West’s retirement.

B609/1/E/12 ‘Correspondence 1972’. Some letters in response to jobs advertised present.

B609/1/E/13 ‘Correspondence 1973’. Present is a letter dated 4 May 1973 from Wm Fry & Sons, solicitors, Dublin, regarding the case of Palgrave Murphy Ltd (in liquidation) versus JHB.

B609/1/E/14 ‘Correspondence etc 1974’. Present dated 28 May 1974 from Cork County Council is a grant of planning permission for a drying and storage plant at Ballinacurra.

B609/1/E/15 ‘1975 Correspondence’. This file contains legal and insurance correspondence regarding staff. Staff matters, such as injuries, are documented on most of these files.
