B609/6/A/3 Northern Assurance Company Agent’s Register, detailing Fire and Life Assurance Policies taken out by JHB, 1887-1966. John H Bennett is described as the agent. The register records date, policy number, ‘short copies’ [titles], sum insured, premia, quarter due, renewals, and remarks. Also present is a letter from Northern Assurance Co to JHB, dated 25 August 1959, regarding changes to the policy covering the building known as Brook Lodge, which policy is to be transferred to Miss Kathleen Christina Cullen. B609/6/A/4 Monthly Returns for Fire Insurance, 1925-37. A note on the top of returns reads ‘To be completed and forwarded to the Malt Dept. [AGS] on 1 st of each month’. The return covers stocks of barley, malt, combings, and sacks.
