B609/4/C/31 JHB Management Committee Correspondence, January to December 1966. A letter of 6 April from Mrs West to Williams concerns sick pay for a foreman. A letter of 30 March from WM Hutton, AGS, to Mrs West concerns possible capital expenditure on mechanical malting, in the context of ‘future developments’ at JHB. [See also B609/9/F/3] B609/4/C/32 JHB Management Committee Correspondence, January to December 1967. A letter of 12 June from Mrs West to Miss Curtis, the Malt Office, AGS, is in regard to buildings at the Cereal Station. A letter of 14 June from Mrs West to DO Williams concerns a house and garden adjoining No 3 Malthouse.

B609/4/C/33 JHB Management Committee Correspondence, January to December 1968. Present is a list of AGS companies and subsidiary companies at 30 September 1968.

B609/4/C/34 JHB Management Committee Correspondence, January to July 1969. A letter of 8 April concerns the issue of bird damage to crops. [See also B609/1/A/52]

B609/4/C/35 JHB Secretary’s Correspondence, 1940-55. Letters, generally of a financial nature, and mostly from the company’s corporate accountants, directed to WH Read as company secretary. Some letters regarding director’s meetings also present. B609/4/C/36 JHB Company Secretary’s Correspondence with AGS, 1961 to 1969, on corporate matters. The main part of the file consists of correspondence between the secretaries of JHB and AGS from 1961 to 1968 on matters such as Articles of Association, accounts, companies acts provisions, State aid to industry, and company directive on patents. Several letters are from the Chief Accountant, AGS. A smaller sub-file entitled ‘Capital Expenditure’ mainly consists of completed forms and returns from JHB to AGS for the financial quarters from December 1965 to June 1969.
