19th Century Cork Sutton Mariners, Sailing Ships and Crews

Captain William Charles John had a son, Captain Charles Joseph John (b.1862), who would marry Mary Reynolds, daughter of Captain Robert Francis Reynolds (b.1832, Passage West), in Liverpool 14 May 1890. This once more demonstrates the intricate marital ties between so many of these Cork mariner families. Captain Robert Francis was a brother of Captain Nicholas Reynolds (b.1822), the son-in-law of Captain George Sutton (b.1804, Clonakilty) (see Clytha ). #UK Nat Arch BT112/120; Lloyd’s; Sutton Family History.
