Additional information:

The Urania (Reg: 11152) participated in the June 1861 Queenstown Regatta (Appendix: America ) prior to registration in the Port of Cork in December 1863. She sailed from Ryde, Isle of Wight, September 1863 for Queenstown and then sailed around the coast for pleasure (IMNCL).

Captain George Brailey was previously in the Merchant Navy (see Blue Jacket ).

Mate William Mullins obtained his Master Certificate in 1866.
