Additional information:

Apprentice (future Captain) George Sutton went to sea when eleven years of age from Kinsale, so it is likely that another family relative was the Master of Union during his apprenticeship (Appendix 6: Port of Kinsale). This 47t vessel, operating out of Kinsale was likely to have been the 47t sloop built in Cork in 1808 captured in Lloyd’s Register for 1824 when she was based in Belfast.
