Captain William Eastaway was likely to have been the Captain Ea staway in Lloyd’s, since his brother Benjamin Eastaway (b.1825, Swansea) was Master of Ballinacurra Lass at this time. Apprentice (future Captain) Henry Eastaway would serve with Captain William Eastaway on the William S Green . Slater’s Directory would document him as the Youghal Harbour Master in 1881. Captain Thomas Murray (b.1864) was likely to have been a son of (Captain) Denis Murray (b.1831, Clonakilty) and nephew of Captain Thomas Murray (b.1828, Clonakilty), brothers who also owned the Thomas & Anne .
