The Samuel Abbott was driven ashore near White Point, 28 March 1843 (List of Shipwrecks - Wiki). Soon returned to service. Moved from the Port of Cork in 1851 (Lloyd’s). Much later when registered in the Port of Hartlepool, was driven ashore at Flamborough Head, Yorkshire on 19 February 1873 (List of Shipwrecks - Wiki). This ship is documented as trading with Cuba in 1841.
