Fate of ship:

This ship was driven ashore and wrecked on Cefn Sidan Sands, 7 November 1852. Her crew were rescued. She was on a voyage from Queenstown, Co Cork to Cardiff (List of Shipwrecks - Wiki). She subsequently disappeared from Lloyd’s Register. This ship sailed from Cork to New Brunswick in 1846.It sailed from Cork to Boston, Mar-Jul 1849 and in 1850 with emigrants. This was almost certainly in the aftermath of the Famine. Mate William Martin documented this emigrant trade on these dates. Some dates appear to overlap. Captain John Spillane and Mate Michael Spillane previously sailed together on Mary Macklin . Captain John Spillane was subsequently to experience the demise of the Pallas in 1856 near Nova Scotia.
