Mate John Veale served in varying capacities. He would briefly sail on the iron-hulled George Sutton of Cork in 1880. The Veales of Dungarvan had also sailed on Cork vessels earlier in the century (see 63t sloop, St Patrick ). Mate Curran served on many Cork sailing ships, including Sutton's Nancy McSweeney in 1877 before switching to service on Cork steam ships. Seaman Timothy Shanahan had previously sailed on George Sutton’s iron brigantine Margaret Sutton . Seaman John Deasy previously sailed on Abraham Sutton’s Petrel .
Apprentice Michael Flynn was doubtless related to Captain David Flynn above b.1817.
