Title:
MS. letter from ‘JLF’, Jeremiah L. Fawsitt, (Diarmaid Fawsitt) Dublin, to ‘Dear
Liam’, Liam de Róiste, Cork. Level: Item Extent: 2pp Part of: U271/N/2/H Scope and Content:
Encloses a bundle of papers to do with the Bureau of Military History from whom he has had no further letters. ‘I am afraid that....the interest in happenings in Cork two-score or more years ago is dropping to zero.’ Notes ‘one or two men were emplaced in the Fianna Fail regime and the Bureau was conceived to make a profitable niche for these.’ Wonders who will make use of the Bureau’s ‘rakings’ and when. He hasn’t heard from de Róiste in ‘ages.’ Notes his work is ‘arduous,’ refers to life past in Dún na nGaedheal.
