Correspondence mainly to de Róiste regarding the aims, principles and organisation of Muintir na Tire 1939-41. Correspondents include Fr. J. Hayes; Alfred O’Reilly; P. J. O’Reilly; W. Byrne; J. Lyons; J. J. Bergin; M. S. O Briain; J. J. Walsh of Ulster Bank; Tom Dowdall and Organising Secretary J. O. Barry Walsh. Such as MS. letter from Alfred O'Rahilly, UCC, expressing concern that Muintir na Tíre '...may end in froth....a kind of brotherhood good-will association so beloved of British non- conformists...' (23 Mar 1939); and such as TS. letter from PJ O'Reilly, Hon, Sec, General, Clonmel with detailed observations on Catholic social teachings and their relevance to the organisation, and the avoidance of 'political Catholics' and sectarianism (17 May 1939); and such as MS. letter from Rev.
