Asks if Cork can supply various warm clothes for the front, £100 to £200 worth. Refers to a 'friend in Gibraltar', and Miss O'Brien. Mentions some disagreements with the Committee. 2pp 2 Nov 1936 Talks of the success of the ‘meeting’; refers to falling off of contributions –the figures now are £2,500 total fund; the Director of the Boy Scouts, Prof. J. B. Whelehan, is to be elected to the Standing Committee; says medical supplies for Spain require £8,000. 4pp 4 Nov 1936. Refers to debacle in the Irish Press and ensuing crisis. Encloses copy of a TS. letter he sent to Desmond concerning the correspondence in the Press between Mr. Belton and Rev. Dr. Ryan; the recall of the ‘envoy’ of the I.C.F.
