Scope and Content: Possibly prepared for Dáil / Provisional/ IFS government in the context of possible claim for reparations from the British. Losses listed include 'Loss of Life and Injury to persons', compensation claimed and allowed, injuries to persons of Cork citizens, crown servants paid by Cork Corporation, crown forces, £137,365. Injury to general health of citizens, general terrorism, searching of houses causing nervous ailments especially to women and children, £600,000. Those interned without trial, loss of wages, effect on dependents. Loss of and injury to property, compensation claimed an allowed for fires including Burning of Cork 11- 12 Dec 1920, £1,659,826. Property commandeered and stolen including cash, jewellery, motors, horses, to be ascertained. Loss of wages £203,583, loss of profits, motor and cycle trade, damage to Corporate property, loss of tourist traffic, riot insurance, damage and wear and tear on streets owing to vibrations from heavy military engines, loss of state grants. Total £3,085,268. Also refers to claims assessed on all-Ireland basis, over taxation of Ireland in the past, loss of production, Ireland's share of investments and other assets of Great Britain, salaries for MPs.
